Welcome to TRIO Upward Bound at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Upward Bound, housed in the Office of Minority Student Affairs, has been a part of the Illinois community since 1966. We at Upward Bound, are committed to providing our students with high quality academic, cultural, and career related activities designed to prepare and equip them to successfully complete high school, enroll in an accredited post-secondary institution and obtain a baccalaureate degree.

Upward Bound Program Eligibility
Before you apply, please be sure you meet the following criteria:
- Attend (or will attend) one of following high schools
- Centennial High School
- Central High School
- Urbana High School
- Maintain citizenship, permanent residency, or are in the process of becoming a permanent resident of the United States
- Meet federal guidelines based on income and/or educational background of parents
- First-generation (neither natural or adoptive parents has obtain a baccalaureate degree)
